Meet Dr. Ana Nielson (Meridian, ID)

Ana Nielson, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry and earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of California, Davis.

Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, Dr. Nielson co-founded The Eye Site in Meridian alongside Dr. Ryan Nielson, where she provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages.

She is experienced in managing ocular disease and fitting a wide range of contact lenses, including scleral, rigid gas permeable (RGP), multifocal, and soft lenses. Her clinical interests include dry eye care, diabetic eye care, macular degeneration, and glaucoma.

Dr. Nielson is a member of the American Optometric Association and is dedicated to supporting the long-term eye health of the Meridian community.

Outside of the office, Dr. Nielson enjoys spending time with her family and taking advantage of Idaho’s outdoor activities, including gardening, camping, hiking, and mountain biking.
