DR. RYAN NIELSON

Dr Ryan NielsonDr. Ryan Nielson was raised in Boise, Idaho, and graduated from Borah High School in 1992. He attended the University of Idaho in 1996 and the Illinois College of Optometry in 2002, where he met his beautiful wife Dr. Ana Nielson. They then moved back to Idaho in 2005 and opened their practice together.

Dr. Nielson is extremely experienced in contact lenses and detecting eye diseases. He is unparalleled in his experience with all of the latest lenses and technology available and how they can benefit you. Dr. Nielson loves to treat difficult and unusual eye conditions and is often able to fit contacts on patients that were told they could never wear them.

Dr. Nielson has over twenty-five years of experience fitting all types of contact lenses: Keratoconus, Toric (Astigmatism) Lenses, Multifocals, Scleral Lenses, and Soft Lenses. He has extensive experience with hard-to-fit eyes.

DR. ANA NIELSON

Dr Ana NielsonDr. Ana Nielson grew up in the Bay Area in California where she graduated from U.C. Davis in 1997. She then attended the Illinois College of Optometry in 2002. Dr. Nielson now lives in beautiful Idaho with her husband Dr. Ryan Nielson where they are now raising their three children.

Dr. Nielson has experience in diagnosing and managing any ocular disease and has a fresh look on the newest available contact lenses.

She meticulously examines the eye health for evidence of eye disease such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinal tears to prevent blindness. She maximizes the usage of glasses and contact lenses to help school age children achieve the highest possible level of vision so that their vision will not prevent them from excelling in school academically or sports.

DR. RENEE ROWLEY

Dr Renee RowleyDr. Renee Rowley was born in Litchfield, Illinois, and raised in Princeton, Illinois. She attended Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa for a biology major and chemistry minor. She is an active member of the University Band and also played piano.

Dr. Rowley was a member of Phi Sigma Eta and Beta Beta Beta honorary academic societies. After three years of undergraduate study, she was accepted to optometry school early and started school at the University of Missouri St. Louis in 2011. She was on the dean’s list for all four years of study. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2015.

She is married to her husband, who is a nurse at St. Alphonsus. In her free time, she likes to lift weights, hike, and walk the dogs, and often participates in spartan races.
